You`re pregnant! now what?
Woohoo! Congratulations, mama-to-be! That little plus sign (or those two pink lines) just changed your world forever. It's a moment filled with excitement, wonder, and maybe a little bit of "oh my gosh, what now?!"
Don't worry, I've been there! To help you navigate those first few steps in your pregnancy journey, I've put together a list of 12 things you can do after that exciting discovery:
Tell Your Hubby:Â Sharing this incredible news with your partner is a special moment that you'll cherish forever. Take a deep breath, find a quiet moment, let they know that you're pregnant and celebrate the new life that's growing within you. This is the beginning of a beautiful adventure, and it's wonderful to share it with the person you love most.
See your doctor ASAP.  Your doctor will confirm your pregnancy, discuss
prenatal care and provide guidance on what to expect in the coming months. They'll also likely ask about your health history, family history, and any current medications you're taking. your doctor will calculate your estimated due date and, you might even get a sneak peek at your little one on the ultrasound and hear that precious heartbeat!
Start Those Prenatal Vitamins:Â Â Give your little one the best start by taking a prenatal vitamin with folic acid, which is crucial for healthy development.
Nurture Your Growing Baby with Essential Nutrients:Â Eat a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein. These foods provide essential nutrients for your baby's growth and development, and they can also help you feel your best during pregnancy. Read our Blog about Nourishing You and Your Little One!
Stay hydrated! Drink lots of water throughout the day to keep your body and baby healthy.
Stay Active:Â Â Exercise is a great way to stay healthy during pregnancy. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise (walking or pregnancy yoga) most days of the week. Talk to your doctor about safe exercises for pregnant women and find activities that you enjoy.
Rest Up:Â Â Growing a human is exhausting! Listen to your body and take breaks whenever you need them. Try to get enough sleep, especially in the first trimester when your body is adjusting to all the changes happening. Remember, you're not just growing a baby, you're growing a new life! Take care of yourself so you can give your little one the best possible start.
Connect with Other Moms:Â Join a prenatal class or online community to chat, share experiences, and get advice from other moms who are going through the same thing. It's a great way to feel less alone and find support during this exciting time.
Capture the Magic:Â Â Document your pregnancy journey with a journal. Write down your thoughts, feelings, and any special moments you want to remember. You can also include photos, ultrasound images, and baby shower mementos.

Say goodbye to Bad Habits
Now's the perfect time to ditch those habits that aren't so healthy for you or your growing baby. Talk to your doctor about any lifestyle changes you might need to make. Read More in our Blog about 14 Things to Put on Pause.
Share the News When You're Ready: This one can be a bit personal. Some mamas-to-be announce it right away, while others prefer to wait until after the first trimester. Do what feels right for you! Miscarriages usually happen during the first trimester of a pregnancy, and so many women wait until after the first trimester to share the big news. Ultimately, the decision of when to share is yours, and it's important to do what feels right for you and your family. (source) (source)
